Mount Lassen in Mount Lassen National Park. Rising 10,462 feet above sea level Mount Lassen is the southern most volcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc. Lassen erupted on May 22, 1915, devastating nearby areas and raining volcanic ash as far away as 200 miles (320 km) to the east.
